That’s like asking, what size is a pair of shoes.

It depends on a WIDE variety of factors, including your age, health, and how much/what kind of coverage you buy!

It is very expensive but rates vary with each insurance company. Check with a local independent agent for what is available in your area. I had heard the government was going to offer LTC insurance next year and I would opt for that.

It is no different than asking how much is auto insurance? There is no relevant answer.

The cost of long term care is largely dependent on your age. If you apply at age 50 it is going to be significantly cheaper than if you wait until your 70. It also depends on how much you want to insure. By that I mean what daily benefit are you seeking and how long will you want that daily benefit to last. You can further customize your coverage with endorsements that will add important features but will also add to the cost.

Best thing to do is to work with an agent that provides policies from more than just one company.

it depends on the age and amount of coverage and how it’s structured. It’s not cheap though. I ran quotes for a 60 year old for an ‘average’ plan and i received quotes from $3,000-$7,000.
